Demian Carey Gibbins was born in the Channel Islands in February 1978. He emigrated to Australia with his family in 1982. He grew up on a sustainable living property in the rainforest near Byron Bay. A testament to his wholesome and spiritual upbringing, Demian was a talented student who obtained a Bachelor of Engineering, a Bachelor of Commerce and his MBA at UNSW.
Demian’s unique geo-impressionist style was honed whilst living two lives: a serious professional life and his peaceful solitary practice of painting.
Demian is experiencing widespread acclaim for his works. His industry involvement goes beyond his own works. He was the exhibition and event manager for ‘Paintings from Kerobokan Prison – By Myuran Sukumaran’ in 2014.
